I'll sell you mine. Still under warranty if you can hunt them bastards down.

I wonder why the Aussies and South Africans are still buying this garbage.

Awesome, I'll offer you fair value! I'll trade your RLD canopy for the pile of my dog's crap I picked up this morning, but you have to cover the shipping costs.

Ive got an RLD canopy too. Solid black powder coating. Not paint issues, but in the 16 months that I've had it I've had to replace the rubber gaskets on all four side doors once and the rear door twice. The pins that hold the the rear hinges together work themselves out and have to be tapped back in almost weekly, and the bolts on the back door are rusted and chewing at the rubber seals. Rear door has leaked since day one. Multiple emails sent to Adventure Ready w/o any return correspondence.

@SlumberingBear good meeting you on the trail before the Mojave River Crossing.
Just got through all this thread. I was shocked to see your paint peeling issues.

I have a broken/burnout third brakelight and can't seem to find a replacement.

I had reached out to Tom @AdventureReady but seems he suggested I reach out to RLD directly :(
I reached out to RLD by email, FBmessenger, and Instagram. The only response I got on FBmessenger was ""Thank you for your message ... Where are you based?" and nothing else after that.

Going to start thinking about modding /installing a different third brake light.

Seems like that's par for the course. I regret buying this more and more.

Hey there. Good meeting you as well. Sorry to hear about the brake light. I should probably check mine lol. I don't think you're going to get any help. Their website still says they aren't taking orders and they are going to reassess the situation at the end of 2022. I guess they decided to fold.

We're going to have to do DIY repairs as the shells age. Huge bummer.

Well, I’m glad you figured out the Internet algorithms because I was just about to buy this shell and decided to do a search for RLD shell reviews and this came up! Won’t be buying this!

I saved you! If you change your mind I'm still down to sell the one I have. It's got "patina".

I have been dealing with the same garbage for 3 years and I just never found the time to post about it or look on here to see if anyone else had the same experience. I figured they wouldn't do anything to help me out - they could always just call it a "cosmetic" issue and get out of the warranty coverage.

Did you ever sand it off and try to touch it up or anything? Mine is rusting badly and I've sort of just give up on doing anything about it. If I sell the truck I'll just take the topper off, it looks terrible.
