Hey all! With the snow and salt finally gone, I’m looking at flushing my frame and trying to insure all the nastiness of winter is gone. Anyone know of a good spot to shove the hose or whatever. Literally anything, small spots, hard to reach, any known common areas to help get rid of any remaining corrosives. Also looking to get some good chassis saver stuff, and salt removal sprays. Honestly just flood it with whatever you think works. Trying to get an idea so I can get it all done before it gets too hot outside.

Just get under there and start spraying water. Keep high pressure water out of the engine bay. Get the hose in the frame sections next to the catalytic converters. I take my truck to a coin car wash and do this during winter.... no need to wait to spring and only do it once.

Once it is clean, remove any rust spots and then paint those spots to protect. Then rust proof it. Krown, Fluid Film, Woolwax, etc. The key to rustproofing is to do it annually. I've never used salt remover.

    minor tweaks
The cab mounts coming off the frame are like an odd shaped box and have round cutouts that allows mud and anything else to get into the inside of the box like mount. Spraying even with a high pressure wand wouldn't get it all out for me, I used a garden hose and my finger to flood that cavity and flush out the accumulated stuff.

Yes of course, doing it routinely is recommended, I just mean like a real good once over to insure it’s all gone until next snowfall.

Thanks for the heads up. They do seem to collect a lot of mud and dirt.
