Mine is 2025 Off road trim with hybrid and no alternator. So I think it’s just the halo trims.

 

2024 TRD Sport Premium Hybrid. Have 3 Aux switches. No alternator.

 

All this talk about aux switches made me wonder about the definition of aux switch. First I referenced a post from @Vitamins about his "poverty edition" 2024. Then I looked online for pictures. I must really have a "poverty edition" example of a 2024 Tacoma OR IForce Max Hybrid because it does not have any labeled aux switches in the third row of "buttons" on the left side of the dash. [my OR IForce Max example does not have either official option pack -- "offroad option package" -($4K) nor "premium option package" -($8K)]. Is this common? The three (prewired?) aux switches are not standard on the Off Road edition? They are only present in one of the option packs? Anywho, I already stated I do not have an alternator.

not necessarily. i have the TRD upgrade package the 4k one and i have them.

Doesn't matter what year or model, you're going to be disappointed.

 

Wait do pros get 4 Aux switches? If so I’m fine with it, at least I know there is a purpose. But yeah the one blank aux and the one blank next to my stab switch does bother me.

Amazon says they do not fit my vehicle. But damn it I bought some anyway!

 

They’re just some random stickers I saw, didn’t verify the sizing.

You make a fair point. I know that for my previous vehicle (GMC pickup) the radar indication matched my vehicle. I downloaded an app and will be doing some comparisons, also will use Google maps. Initially it looks like my Tacoma is only very slightly optimistic at times, other times it is in agreement with the app. I need to do some driving on the highway and for a longer period of time to get a good evaluation. I appreciate your comment, it led me to do this more rigorous checking, and I'll end up with a better understanding of how accurate it is for my Tacoma. Appreciated!

 

Howdy all. New guy...Picked up my 2024 Tacoma TRD OF Hybrid straight off the show floor. Coming from a built 2016 4Runner. I've got questions.
My plan is to build out the truck. Lights, winch, etc. Without an alternator (at least, for mine (10/24 build date), any thoughts regarding the winch wiring?

Side note - LOVE the hybrid torque, comfort, drivability, etc. Definitely stoked to get this truck.

 

look into how independence overland wired his winch.
