I was referring to the individual in your post, who we know nothing about. And she* posted about her disability.

As a Marine who served 2002-2007, I know quite a few people with disabilities, visible and non.

 

If you could do all that then exactly how are you disabled? I mean if you can set up that tent, crawl onto the roof, dig under you wheels to use those recovery tracks, take the 2.5 gallon gas tank off the other side (8x25 plus the can is over 20 lb) ... and then insist you are disabled..... That doesn't sound like a disabled person.

 

Maybe the driver has a significant other that is disabled. Maybe the driver is disabled and the other is not. If you don’t know the whole story, consider the options. The person doing all the aerobics getting set up is not necessarily the disabled?
I can fit more than one person in my DCSB.

This. I mentioned my friend before who drove the car owned by his aunt in her name and she was disabled. Many times he got guff about parking in the spot, truth be told he would never use the spot unless he was out with his aunt or dropping her off/picking her up. He could have saved a few minutes walking from the lot to school but never did because he wasn't going to take it when he didn't need it himself only.

 

OK, so I'll post this, but at this point I've hijacked this thread enough. Let's say when dealing with a company a accident happens and you are hurt. You sue for 20 mil and win. That company's insurance provider doesn't stay in business by paying out 20 mil settlements so they hire a PI to watch you and make sure you are in fact disabled. When he pulls up to your house and watched you getting out of that rig the first thing going through his head is this job just got much easier. When he finds a way to follow you out onto the trail, because for 20 mil that is what he'll be paid to do, and he takes pictures of you wheeling, if in fact you can, and a lawyer present them to a jury, what do you think the end result will be? So enough is enough, I'm out. Like I said, the post was about the absurdity of it on the surface. I will point out again, maybe he just likes the look and that's fine by me.
