Can Confirm. It has literally been raining all day, mix of light and medium.

 

Amen. They shut down one of my favorite places around 10 years ago and I'm still not happy about it. Almost worse yet, they shut down a place we tried to camp at once before we ever went there. We showed up hoping to find a site, and it was gated off.

 

Aaaaaaaaaand tax return is spent. But gotta make sure Colorado is fun

 

I've never had a bad time in CO.

 

Bought a used starter for $35.
The guy at the junkyard asked what happened to mine.
"I was driving through some creeks and it's acting up".

Junkyard guy, "So you were doing what trucks are supposed to do?"

 

I know a muffler shop that would call it 'beating the fuck outta your truck'.

 

And wouldn't you know now that I bought that used starter, the 'bad' starter has started 6/6 times without a glitch.

 

The last rain, over here, left dried dirt spots everywhere on the truck.

Planning our 7 day Vegas trip …..
My wife said we need to stay on budget.
2 nights at Circa On Fremont street. 2 nights @ Flamingo or Caesars Palace on The Vegas Strip. Finish the week with 3 nights at South Point Hotel & Bowling venue.
Budgets!!!!

 

I hope to have fun. I think Medano Pass is what makes me the most wary, in the middle of the mountains.

 

Fremont Street rocks. I got waayy to eff'd up one night. Wanted to do the zip-line but Kimm'r said no.

 

It’s not too crazy. Just a little tight in a couple places from what I’ve seen

 

Been watching videos. Creek crossings during peak flow (like early June when I'll be there) seem sketchy. If it wasn't solo in the mountains or I had experience there. Probably just be a game time decision.

 

Creek was pretty deep a couple times when I was there. Be sure to air down in the sand

 

From my 1 experience in creeks, 24" or less to play it safe.
(if I were to guess, we were somewhere around 30-32")

 

My rule of thumb, if you can stand in 37" of water without a support, you're gtg. Though your starter may hate you.
