I’m trying to understand who supports/buys sedans and sports cars.

I’m told that Americans taste in SUV/Trucks killed the sedan.

however, when I travelled through Taiwan and Japan last month, I saw barely a handful of sports cars and sedans. I stayed in Taipei, Tokyo and a bunch of other metro and rural areas. I bare saw any sedans. If I did, it was usually an Audi/Mercedes being driven by a young guy.

every single vehicle was either a Crossover small SUV or a light-duty SUV like a Prado. In Tokyo, I actually saw more Jeep Wanglers than Prados, and more land rovers than LC300s. Other than SUVs, I 100s of mega vans, which are very cool inside.

I keep getting told that Americans are dumb for buying SUVs, but I swear I see way more challengers/Camrys/mustangs here in America than I saw any equivalent in Taiwan or Japan.

Also, nobody drivers standard in Asia either. Can we stop blaming that on Americans too?

I don’t really want to hear anyone blaming Americans for the modern dull Car market anymore.

Parking is very tight and there's mountainous driving in Taiwan and around Tokyo. Smaller automatics makes sense. I've driven in both of those places.
