Did an ATF flush and change today. Curiously enough, when I did the initial drain only about 2.1qts of ATF came out, so I assume the last time this was done it was under filled (no leaks that I'm aware of so I don't believe it's losing fluid).

The leftmost sample is the initial drain with subsequent flushes left to right.

Haha, yep. Left the west coast about 12 years ago (Oregon) for the Caribbean. Going to be back visiting family in Humboldt county this summer, though.

Any tips on hardware, latches, etc.?

Well… who wants to sell me their bird dawg mirror riser ?

I tried this one from a different brand, seems to be the only option currently available. Not giving me much confidence although it seems fairly stable with a real questionable combination of a washer and some thick tape in between the riser and the mirror.
I thought the unstable mount was due to a piece that BirdDawg instructed you to cut off.. so I did that but it wasn’t my issue… so now I’m fully invested :) to be fair this riser is intended for 05-08 Tacomas but I figured it would be close enough to make fit.. I guess the next thing is to wait and see how it holds for now but as far as making it more solid I’m not quite sure what I else I could try..

really liking the mirror out of my view it’s been a pet peeve since day 1.

advice would be welcome, I think I might just undo all of this and simply try to move the mount glued to the windshield up an inch or so

I work in auto collision as a service advisor and had the painter of my shop tackle it on the side. I just aided in some prep work

I ran mine thru my shop and management required I pay paint and materials but at a discounted rate (like what we'd charge a partnered insurance carrier). I had <$400 in paint and materials and paid my painter a bottle of Blanton's per his request.

IMG_0710.jpg IMG_0712.jpg I was prepping my truck to store for the summer and noticed a rubber plug in my tire. I don’t ever remember having this tire patched. Guess I did.

Axle swapped in less than an hour this morning. (I think it was the new Dirt Lifestyle hoodie that really helped ). Now I'm gonna put in Ark splash guards while I'm at it.
