What’s the best strut brand and size that’ll sit and the same height as my 3 inch puck. Thinking of M1 RC’s

RC is the literal opposite of Best.

    FYI:
What we have on our Tacomas are coilover shocks, not struts (struts are what you normally find on sedans & minivans).

You asked for "best [shock] brand", that would be Fox or King (some might also mention ADS, Ride, Elka, etc. which I'm not as familiar with, but are also popular).
Next would maybe be Bilstein (5100, 6112, etc.).

Rough Country doesn't get much praise around here (and for good reason, their 3" and 3.5" products are a great way to stress out parts on your frontend). However their Vertex shocks aren't bad, which many here have been happy with (partly because they are adjustable, allowing you to dial them to a more-reasonable lift of 2"). Most of RC's other shocks are pretty generic (I had N3 shocks on the rear of mine for a bit... Certainly it was a decent upgrade over stock, but they ain't no Fox, and probably still pales next to Bilstein 5100s as well).

Fox 2.0s or 2.5s are a good option.
