No comment. I hate thieves and other sub humans that ruin society.

Looks like a standard vending machine T-handle cylinder. Drop in an Abloy Protec2 or Medico³ and it would be formidable. Wish they gave you the option of either no cylinder or upgraded cylinders. Thanks for the link!

In MA? No. You would go to jail and the thief would go free.

I’m not a lawyer but I’d say 100% cool as long as it’s caught on camera for the enjoyment of the internet

Here's an even better option, at least in my opinion.

Mods? We don't need no stinking mods.
A crowbar? Seems like that would mess up the tailgate pretty bad, thus making it less valuable to sell.

Is it U-shaped or does it hook around the hinge? If it's U-shaped, there doesn't appear to be anything keeping it from being swung upwards by prying with a flat screwdriver/small prybar. And if it can be pried up that way, it'll loosen the screw as it pivots. Either both torx bolts should have been used, or it should have been extended past the one torx bolt so it would butt up against the tailgate to prevent it from pivoting.

Edit: Finally found a picture of one uninstalled. Looks like it hooks around the hinge so it can't be swung up. All the pictures I've seen prior were for the 2nd gen. I still don't like the exposed fastener, but it isn't as bad as I thought.

It loops underneath the hinge so prying up won't work and there's no room to pry it down. Not to mention it's made of 3/16 steel so you're not going to bend it easily, certainly not with a screwdriver. With the safety torx bolt installed with a couple of drops of red loctite it's not coming out easily either.

If anyone on here is old enough to remember stickdeath.com then just think of the car alarm one.

Yeah it was, I miss using AIM to message friends lol. I remember when you could have a custom away message and thought it was the best thing.
