I’ve only ever seen the Amenita in the woods around here. Really scary but she’s home and certainly seems to be recovering very well thankfully! Thank you!

 

Well, by Sunday we will have 5 Stafford shire terrier puppies if all goes as planned.
First & probably only litter for her.
Breeder gets pick of the litter, chick is hoping for 1 show quality dog out of the litter & all others are already spoken for & a waitlist...
She did end-up finishing her championship, & has 2 out of the 3 majors needed for grand champion...

Thank you! She got her dialysis catheter out last night and another liver function check and her numbers continue to go down which is what we are wanting! The vet thinks we caught it in time to have no long term side effects! Thankfully this ER opened up about a year ago and they’re the only ones close that do dialysis and blood transfusions and that’s exactly what she needed!

 

Today's field training was interesting. Kinda like Whack-a-Mole with a couple of sprinklers...something must be broken. Anyway, couple of big muddy puddles. When we left, Kimo was pretty muddy.

 

I still haven’t figured out how this is a comfortable position for the pup. Maybe he’s broken…

 

Not any fun, 2 out, 3 more to go…
It’s been about 1 - 1.5 hours between pups….
#3, seems like its taking FOREVER....
First pup was out at 430’ish….

 

Were at 4 now & chick is stethescoping 2 more heartbeats....
Were thinking 4 or 5 from imaging & stethesope listening for heartbeats,
Now that we have 4 on decks, we hear 2 more...
Long night & day...

 

#6 isnt playing nice, this has been going all day..
Still hasn't come out..
Momma is barely having contractions at this point...

English Staffordshire Terrier?

 

Yes…..
5 females, 1 male….
Last female would not come out, we tried everything….
Only one vet option in San Diego equipped to deal with an emergency c section at $8k, 2 hours away…
We were minutes away from leaving & bam, there she was…..
This started last night, first pup 4 am….
We administered so many drugs into her to keep the contractions going…
Then they stopped for hours, out of no where she pushed on her own & got it done…
X rays showed 4 pups, we pulled 6…

pretty sure chicks keeping the last one & name it miracle….
We used a service called welp wise, remotely monitors all vitals, drugs on hand & gives you advice on proper dosages, god send…

 

Congrats! Hopefully momma dog can rest and recover now. My grandfather used to breed AKC English Staffordshire Terriers many decades ago and won best of show in Oakland, CA. I think the last litter was late 1980s. Nanny dogs, lol. I don't see many English Staffy's these days. Mostly pit mixes.

 

I posted few pages back, while she was pregnant she beat out everyone all 3 days…
Finished confirmation championship & got 2 out of the 3 majors toward her grand championship…..

These dogs look brown but they say color will change to a rich red like mom..

anyone here have a Pyrenees? Been wanting one for a while now. This one is available near me and I’m trying to tell myself I don’t need to get a second dog

 

I say go for 2. We had three and lost one, house just doesn’t seem quite as happy.

 

Today is Simbas birthday. He turned two years old today. He got a birthday cookie after he ate breakfast.



He then got another birthday cookie when I got home from work.



I had some pizza for dinner and he got the pizza bones in addition to his dinner. After dinner was done he got his main birthday cookie.




Next month we celebrate his Gotcha Day.
