My head hits the roof when I hit a bump…….not great for off roading. Thinking about making it like Hightower did in Police academy. My taco is the extended cab so I can go back and down . Any suggestions for a replacement seat or an option to mod it . Thank in advance

Originally scheel-mann.com said that there seat put you back and down more but I believe it was @turbodb who disproved it. but could probably be achieved with modifications to the seat adaptor. But the struggle is real and sympathetic to your plight.

Mastercraft makes brackets to mount their seats into 1st gen Tacomas

    https://www.mastercraftsafety.com/Toyota_Tacoma_Standard_Cab_95_03_p/mount-tacomastd-9503.htm

You will have to buy one of their suspension seats and maybe, just maybe there will be more headroom. I use Mastercraft in my off road vehicles and the only issue I have is you sink in so far that getting out requires you to pull yourself out of the seat, with a roll bar overhead this isnt an issue, in your truck, dont know.
