Since my skids are off, it'd be good chance to go inquire about an exhaust reroute.
Got a little rattling, myself. (in reverse)

I got to use my new sawzall today. I like it. Definitely trail approved. Took down and processed a 25+ year old maple tree today. On one tungsten carbide pruning blade.

FYI, One 5.0 battery is enough to do the base cut at the trunk (with the brushless version of the sawzall). So it should give an idea of the max cut you could do and plan accordingly. I think two batteries on the trail would take care of any tree I would care to winch out of the way.

That's what I'm here for, the mods and the gear.
I knew they could handle bigger jobs, didn't think a tree though. Nice.

I had a dedicated Milwaukee m18 sawzall that I only used for tree clean up at home and in my truck, it gave me 10 good years of service before dying.
And while I loved the sawzall the new m18 hatchet that replaced it absolutely blows it out of the water for light duty chain saw work.

Lots of good news. Wife got a new teaching position at Nicolet College in Rhinelander! We went a bought a new Honda HRV too. Because she has to commute for the next year. Nicolet may have a job for me too. I am applying. May end up living in Rhinelander! Tyler will definitely be seeing more of the Ute for the next year

They aren’t the fastest things for trees if that’s going to be it’s primary purpose, but it’s nice to not have bar oil mess or a jug of the stuff taking up space in the garage.

And I’ve already tested it on 1/8 inch thick steel angle, and it did it with no problem. For some things, it’s nice to have multi purpose tools.

It won't quite be living in the paradise you currently live in but it's a damn good second place. I'm sure you'll do lots of exploring on your own but if you ever have any questions about the surrounding area don't hesitate to ask. If you ever need help (like if you have a mechanical issue and need some parts or tools brought to you) you can call or text but if you get stuck that means I would be stuck before I even made it to you so I can't help there

It's probably a real long shot but I figured I'd ask anyway due to the various knowledge and life experiences of all you fellas in here, if I were to pop some coordinates in here of some old concrete foundations I found, do any of you happen to have the knowledge or resources or know someone who has the knowledge or resources to be able to find out what the foundations are from? They give me old business vibes because of how they were built but the best of my researching skills led me to a name on an old plat book and that's where it ends for me. I think I've already mentioned in here I'm really into bottle hunting/treasure hunting/history and this is a spot that I'm going to look for some bottles and I would love to know if it was just a farm or homestead in which they built everything different than normal or if it was some sort of business.
