Damn! I know that feeling. Fought a tire change a few months ago, got both of them done then realized I left the rim lock nuts inside of the rim so they wouldn’t tighten down properly. Said screw it and took em to a shop

Unless you want to trade for a Husky 701, I'm afraid I'd end up divorced if I brought another bike home haha. Wife was pissed last summer when I impulsively did a fly and ride to Missoula for an S1000XR, then traded it two months later for the 701.

HAHA. My wife said something has to go now. We have her BMW F700gs, hers and mine Husky FE350's for single track, my 1290 and I bought a used Tenere 700 last week. Rode one for a weekend around Bend OR last year for 3 days and liked how light and tossable it was. T7 suppose to arrive this week but I leave June 4th for a month of riding and decided to stick with tried and true but heavy:benchpress: vs something I wasn't as familiar with and not sure exactly what farkles it has. Bad arthritis in my whiskey wrist ( getting old sucks!) so ordered a cruise control from McCruise out of Australia for it. I've tried the kaoko and atlas style CC before but want something that will handle hills and LONG stretches of eastern Montana. When it gets here I can see exactly what the PO did and go from there. Excited but dang this trip and buying a bike right now is eating thru the funds! :spending:

I think I might have the perfect wife. We dated in high school. broke up in college. She had kids and raised them with her ex. We got back together 12 years ago and she wanted to ride on the back of my CBR600F3. When it quit running she backed me buying a VTX 1800 that we pulled a small trailer behind to camp out of. When we moved to Montana 9 years ago she said she wanted to learn to ride her own dirt bike. Immediately grasped the whole clutch throttle thing and wanted to ride a rocky trail the first day!!! Of course she crashed but got back up and kept going. Then she wanted a street legal dirt bike so we bought the Huskys. Her's was from a short guy that lowered it (correctly) and only had 300 miles on it. Then after a backcountry ski trip over Beartooth pass and seeing all the bikes going by she said she wanted a highway bike and found the BMW. Professionally lowered and 500 miles!! I mean what are the odds. Taken riding training with me and She loves to ride and ski and backs my love of the two. Not sure what I did to deserve such great karma!!

I feel about the same! When I met my now-wife, I didn’t own a bike at the time. I started talking about wanting to get one and she said hell no. A few years later, she comes to me wanting to buy her own, and that I could get one now. A couple years later, we own five bikes. Her MT09 and XT200. I still have the KLX along with my DR and Triumph. And just this weekend, she green-lit me getting the next if I can find the right deal! I’m in the mood for a long distance touring ride.

2 hours in the seat, about 140 miles. Windy, clear, warm, and several suicidal bugs that always know when the visor is up. Wtf is up with that?
I think I'm in the market for a slightly taller windscreen.

Tried a day trip to the Arctic Circle but turned around halfway when it stayed mostly soupy mud. I’ll try again in another week or two after more sunlight has melted the snow and dried the road up. Got a little cold but it was good to get out again.

Back is still sore but getting better. Did a light leg workout today then out to the garage. Lifted the tank on the monkey and install the flasher relay. Then flipped the oil cooler for more clearance from the front fender. Now time to relax the back and get in the sauna. Need to be well enough for golf on Thur.

Dropped off the front wheel and tire at a local independent shop to have him install a new tube and then balance it for me. He's really reasonable to a point where it's just not worth my aggravation to do it at home myself.

I rode the r6 into work after lunch. Thought about riding the razor but decided against it today.

Tbh i did not enjoy riding the r6. Just does not do it for me anymore. But its something legal to ride if i want to.

Any sense of why? Raw top speed just not doing it for you any more old man? Just the "slow bike fast vs fast bike slow" thing?

600s are terrible street bikes, especially the R6, needs to rev to 12k before it makes useable power

Well things are progressing on the tdub purchase. Everything is all set with my credit union and the insurance company. I'm going to finance a couple grand of the purchase for about 3 months until I retire, then I have a small 401k at work that will pay it off. I could just pay cash for it but I hate to deplete my bank account like that, lol. I ordered a hitch mount moto carrier and I plan to pick it up Saturday. Always fun to get a new bike of any kind or size. The tdub is like a bigger grow but more capable off road.
I've watched all kinds of YouTube videos on this bike over the years and what I remember from most of them is that the first time anybody rides one they just can't stop giggling and saying how much fun the little tdub is. I hope it's that much fun for me too.
I'm very much anticipating picking it up.
I paid full msrp And dealer fees, taxes, etc where another $500 which I didn't think was horrible in today's times.
P.S. I did see a used 2014 on cycle trader, 3 emails and no answer to any of them, I'm done playing around and I'll just buy this new one while I can still get it. Dealers run out of them pretty fast around here. Some dealers don't have any at all right now. There is a lot to be said about getting something new and knowing it's history and taking care of it from day 1.
    The 2 wheeled atv.

it's by far the least favorite of my (previously) 3 bikes to ride on the street. powerband is terrible for casual riding, throttle is twitchy, clutch is grabby, gets quite toasty, ergos are not comfortable
