Plumbers usually have different size nipples for different jobs . Funny how the human anatomy is involved in the trades

 

I double wrapped the harness for the 2000 with vinyl wrap ,the kind that really isn’t that sticky, and then top wrapped it with electrical.
If my rebuild on the harness isn’t right, I’m going to have a monumental problem. So far. 60% of the wiring is hooked back up.
No smoke, no blown fuses, and things work. I really don’t want to pull the harness out again.





All this work because some moron drove a self tapper through a 12volt supply wire.

We only use 88 and 33 at work, I never put any off brands on the order list. I do the same here at the house, but I do have some cheap tape for pulling wire, but that's it.

Speaking of tape, every time I pre-wire a motor I mark the appropriate L1 L2 L3 legs with brown, orange, yellow tape. I get asked why I do that by newer guys. I told them it's better to mark them now when you can see the wire number than crawled up in the hole making the final connections. You can see clearly which leg goes where. Their face lights up like I'm a wizard. Like my guy wait till I show you how to torch cut an inner bearing race off a shaft without damage to the shaft

Actually, yes, sometimes.
But these are soooooo bad.
I spent all my est. labor time for the set on one…
But, it’s a barter deal so, I’m just picking away at it.

I wish I had pictures of the boats I used to work on. The engine room was really cool, the mechanics involved. Two outboard generators, two main engines, the electric panel in there was a work of art, you would love it!
