How are the black fender flares attached in the rear fenders of the truck? Might need to take off for dent repair.

    Thanks

In order to get behind rear panel, do you have to take off fender?

Pic would be helpful. If damage is on the rear quarter panel, you can lay on the ground and look up into the cavity between the body panel and the bed without removing fender liner or flare. Of course location of the damage would determine what has to be removed to repair it

Oh man being on that body line, it’s going to be difficult to get out. To access that area you’ll need to remove the screws holding on the fender liner/flare and pull the liner, but the flare should be able to stay put. The OEM liners are really thin and will probably be a bear to get back in I would imagine

I believe it’s possible. I replaced my liners with an aftermarket product so I wasn’t exactly careful removing the oems, but I left the flares in place for both removal and installation of liners

OP, don’t take anything apart take your truck to a good PDR tech….

That will be an easy repair for a good PDR shop.

Most likely they will not need to remove anything they’re plenty of access points.

Could you remove the black trim on the top of the bed rail? There are holes under that I’m sure they could work from.

Center console divider thingy, rubber bed mat and side steps for the wife.
PDR like others have said, they are magic. I had an Acura and got a dent on the top back of the trunk lid, right in the creases. When the PDR guy was done you could not even see a hint of where it was damaged. Amazing what they can do. As far as access, they will decide the best way to approach the repair.

    A coffee stain
    Random tips:

Removing the own tape from the paint sucks. I used goo gone, a plastic scraper, and lots of time.

If your flare doesn’t fit perfect against the body, consider sandwiching 2 pieces of tape between the flare and body. It worked great for me.

Touch up the paint under the fender while you have the flare off.

Consider replacing the clear paint protection film while the flare is off.
