All this about the R6 sounds horrible. I'm not so picky, i'll take it off your hands for $500 :D

I never enjoyed going that fast tbh. Its fun on a track but always seemed boring to me otherwise. Granted a slow bike that doesnt have enough guts isnt really any more fun. But a happy medium is nice, i think im just a supermoto guy.
They make enough power still. But using 1/8 of the throttle at anytime isnt very fun either.
Very hot. Ergos not that comfortable that much either. Younger me didnt mind so much

occasionally I'll take it into work, and will have to lane split getting home. I swear by the time I park it my left ankle is flirting with burn damage

Anyone wanting a Denali soundbomb mini? I'll send to anyone in this thread for cost of shipping. I bought it for my Africa Twin, but the forks hit the horn and the horn hits the radiator before the fork stops on the turn lock.

Would just return it but I tweaked the mounting bracket to try and get it to fit before I realized it was a no-go.

I can imagine. I always hated sitting at stop lights/traffic in the summer.

Heat is that bad from the side mount exhaust? I hated how hot my back got from the underseat exhaust on my CBR600rr and I always smelled like exhaust.

I wonder if it would work on my Triumph. The horn on it sounds incredibly weak and sad. lol

Wife and I’s third wedding anniversary is in a few weeks, which I guess traditionally is the “leather” anniversary. (Mind out of the gutter boys.) We were both struggling for gifts and I sent her a link to a simple key wrap, and picked out my own present. At least traditional token present, she’s still trying to think of something else. Pretty tickled. I try to keep my keys minimal and rotate between car and the bikes, so those are always on separate key tags. This just holds my house, mailbox, p.o. box, and office door keys. It’s just a leather wrap, monogrammed on the other side, that keeps your keys from jingling around or scratching up your tank or ignition. I’m pretty tickled for something so simple.

I'm in. Do you take PayPal? Will PM you my address. FJR horns are horribly weak and if it doesn't fit one of those I can always upgrade the vintage Honda. LOL

it's not even the exhaust that's the issue, it's just the general heat from the engine, and how the aero is designed. seems like it directs all the heat straight to the left ankle. most noticeable when either the rad fan kicks in, or when i'm going low enough speed that the heat can be pushed back, but not so fast that the surrounding air mixes with it and negates the effect

lol this is really only my one concern...but i'll be talking with Ducati Newport today about a couple of their bikes. Found a very well price RSV4 out in Vegas...might have to give them a call as well.

AHAHHAHAHAHHHAAAif you think the R6 is hot the RSV4 is a whole nother ass level of heat. Mine got so hot in bumper to bumper traffic coming back from eastern Washington I had to go offramp to onramp to offramp etc and lane split just to keep it under the danger zone. Ducatis suck too for heat, I've heard the Panigale is terribly spicy. However, the RSV4 is a super fun bike and fast asf

I think I've accepted the fact that whatever next bike I get is gonna be hot. A sacrifice I'm willing to make having a year round riding season lol. The R6 I notice because it blows right onto my ankles, where there is little to no fabric covering it.

Interestingly, I don't recall my BMW ever feeling hot. even when I would get stuck at lights or in heavy traffic.
