Hello everyone I am a new member and the proud owner of a 95 four-wheel drive Tacoma which has been a wonderful vehicle so far or at least up to a couple of weeks ago I drive it daily around 80 mi back and forth to work and the o-ring on the front mounted oil pump let go and started leaking pretty heavily but truck was running great decided to go ahead and replace the gasket and has the truck has high miles thought I would install a new oil pump as well a week later I'm still trying to get oil pressure I've swapped the new pump to the old pump and back again several times pack the gears with petroleum jelly rented the pressurizing oil tool from O'Reilly's pump to oil into the engine at the sending unit port multiple times Still no oil pressure I've read all the post that I could find pertaining to my issue and am dreading jacking up the motor or dropping the front drive train to facilitate oil pan removal to check pressure relief valve or strainer on pickup tube just in hopes and someone has encountered similar issue with an easier solution? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
