Hi , Does anyone know if you can mount an 3rd gen OR OEM transfer case skid plate on a 3rd gen TRD Sport ? I see one for sale on Marketplace , but I can’t see any mounting holes underneath my 19 Sport behind the front skid plate . Thanks

I added an aftermarket transfer case skid to mine, there isn’t an OEM one on the TRD offroads. Behind the engine skid there are metal tube things that are meant to protect the cats, those get removed when you put on an aftermarket transmission skid.

I originally thought that my TRd sport was missing the transfer case skid plate. I’m still confused whether some trucks come with both or just one. I was wanting to buy the transfer case skid plate and mount it on my TRd sport, but I was not seeing any mounting holes . So I never figured it out because I haven’t bought it yet. there’s probably an expert out there that knows the answer. Cheers

Ahh, those two pieces are what I removed and replaced with the aftermarket engine plate skid.

Here is some install instructions for some aftermarket skids, the tranny and transfer case don’t have OEM skids, the two piece thing bolts up together and it’s considered “the OEM engine skid”. If you look at these install guides they talk about how to remove the OEM engine skids and how things bolt up.
