Hey guys I am working on a custom project for a Tacoma where I need to extend the length of two connector cables that go to the Shifter Box by just a few inches.

I have attached a picture of the connectors.

The part numbers on each one appear to be:

    12366>PBT
    90980-12366

    and

    >PBT<12954
    90980-12954

Each one would basically be like an extension cord that has both male and female connectors on them so I can slide the shifter box down about 5 inches +/- or so.

I actually got some connectors off Alibaba.com and one of them seems to fit but the other one is not quite OEM and doesn't come out of the socket so well. Either way I was unable to successfully wire them up into the shifter without an error code coming on.

My questions is does anyone happen to have these connector parts and could possible make me this extension piece for me?

If you don't have the connector parts I could possibly ship you/meet up what I have and see if someone could help me wire them up to where I wouldn't get an error code.

If anyone has any recommendations or someone not just in social but anywhere on the forums who is a Wiz in this department would appreciate it.

I err on the side of cutting and crimping new connectors that you can actually source easily. With that process, you can extend almost anything.

I am not sure about the seats, but if you can get me some good pics of the connectors you are wanting to tap, I can try to source it for you.

I could do that. I'll need to order the parts. I assume you live in Cali. I'm in Connecticut so shipping might be an issue.

I’ll look into those, but I’m not hopeful. There are a couple I have found the females for on those, but no one makes the male. On my truck. I have two taps, both on wires from those type of connectors. And I go to great lengths to avoid those

For a 3gen there is a chapter in the repair manual (found linked around here sometines) of all the plugs and all the pins that go with the plugs. Invaluable time saver for locating plugs/pins.
