I replaced the rear passenger fender flares on my 2018 just last week. Not difficult at all. Watch the video posted above for tips. The most time consuming part of the project was removing the 3M tape residue. Lots of patience with the help of a plastic razor and some Goo Gone.

Anyway, since the paint on your truck is intact, your best bet is to get paintless dent removal (PDR) to get that dent out as most have suggested.

After I bought my truck, it had a number of dings and a couple of big dents on the bed panels, doors, and tailgate. The local auto body shop was going to charge a few thousand to get the panels replaced and painted which would take at least a week. I opted for PDR. The dings and dents were fixed like they were never there. It was all done in one afternoon and for only about $1K. I'm a big fan of PDR for the amazing results as well as savings in time and cost.

To remove the dent on your truck, the PDR tech will use a number of tools. He will remove the top plastic liner that runs the length of the bed. With the liner removed, he will have access to the dent from inside the bed panel. He will likely use a curved steel rod and push and massage that dent out from inside the bed panel. Pretty cool to watch.
