    rolling the angle of the diff so under certain angles of incline and downhill I had vibrations from fluids not hitting certain areas in the diff…best guess. I’ve heard of you hit the skid hard enough with a diff drop it places the diff closer to the skid and damage can occur to the diff on harder hits.

    Been without a diff drop for years now…it’s unnecessary.

    I've read good and bad about them. In my experience (light offroading) never had and issue with the drop installed for the last 16 years. Even with just a 2" lift on my 2nd gen some of the cv boot ribs touch... with the drop they don't. The boots still look like new. Like you mentioned though probably comes down to how you use the truck.
