The Cooper ATR is a great all-around tire. I went with that one because I use them year round but if I was looking for strickly a street tire that could handle wet conditions and light snow I'd go with the Discoverer H/T.

Past ride - 3" OME 885s&Shocks/ TSB 1.5AAL/ AX184 Rims 285 Firestone destination ATs/ 2 Shallow mount P310s in Supercrew Box - Punch 601s, Beefed up Hunter Brush guard, Tint, Fog light mod, AFE Drop in, AC and Fog light mods, scangauge
I went from a 285/70/17 Hankook MT to a 285/70/17 Firestone AT and I gained a true 2mpg avg. Plus the ride is better.

The main reasons for the MPG gain was tire weight. LT vs. P rated tire and Tread contact.

With gas the cost it is, get the Ats and call it a day. the new Revo 2s were my 2nd choice, but were 250 more

I just priced the Michelin LTX MS2 at Discount tire. $819 OTD. They rotate, fix flats and for free on them 70000 warranty. Not over 10 bucks a tire difference.

Nope... I see WAY WAY too many with sidewall failures in Baja. Yes, it is the most popular tire... maybe that is why I see more damged ones? But, I was a passenger in a truck with new BFG All Terrains and the sidewall was punctured (and we were on a sandy road with no rocks seen).

    warning......:threadjacked: .....

It's kind of on topic, but I just picked up a set of Bridgestone Dueler APT-IVs at Sears for my wife's Escape. We had a bunch of money on Sears gift cards, so I wanted to get tires there to use it up. Tread looks very similar to Dueler Revo 2 .... anybody have experience with them?

I think it's a tire Bridgestone produces exclusively for Sears.

Just thought I'd ask since it's in line with this discussion. Thanks.
