Big Sur Current Status

Anyone know if Plaskett Ridge Road is open? I know a portion of hwy 1 is still closed but can't find any info on Plaskett Ridge Rd being open or closed.

Don't see anything on the forest service website about it being closed.

Third bullet under Monterey Ranger District: "The Prewitt Ridge area, Southcoast Ridge Rd, Plaskett Ridge Rd and Los Burros/Willow Rd are open."

Opened on March 21st according to the USDA website.

 

day tripped the full Ridge road from where it meets Nacimento all the way to the top of Los Burros. Totally open and way nicer than I imagined it would be after being closed for 4+ years.

 

Just a reminder that HWY 1 is closed about 40 miles south of Carmel at Regent's slide. Mile posts 25.3 and 32.1. Last I heard, the closure will likely be through the summer
