    Hi all--

Just traded in my 2023 JT Rubicon diesel(loved the Jeep, but the corrosion was turning the thing into a nightmare) for a 4th gen with 800 miles on it. I had the matte black lomax cover on the Gladiator and after seeing the post about the discontinued matte black in the lomax outlet, I immediately placed an order. It arrived quickly and I had it installed an hour after arriving. There was definitely an issue with the finish. I still have the Jeep lomax in the garage so I had a baseline as to what it should have looked like. I sent lomax some pics and was hoping that they would allow me to return it despite the "no returns" disclaimer on the outlet page. Initially denied through email, I called their customer service number, had a great conversation with one of their CSRs. All I wanted was to return it--I would have covered the return shipping--but they offered to send one of their new urethane black covers to replace the matte black at no additional charge. Super happy with their great service--The new one arrived Monday and it looks perfect. Just wanted to give a shout out to Lomax and their CSR team!!

That was nice of them honoring a return on an outlet item .

Great cover and you'll love how easy it comes off, I've run one for 3 years on my old '22 Taco and was able to 'rig' the cover onto my '25. Crazy thing is it seals better on the '25 now as it's crushing the seal a little more.

I bought one of the b-stock urethane models from the outlet and it arrived in perfect condition. If there is a blem I couldn’t find it, and the build quality is super impressive!

Can you post a few more photos? How close is it to the cab? I know this bed is close to the cab so it makes sense that this cover is also close.

My cover stops the power tailgate from working correctly. I have to help it down so it stays powered. How about yours?

Is that with the Lomax cover? I've read other covers causing issue. The Lomax on my 3rg gen doesn't interfere with my tailgate at all.

Yes lomax 4th gen. Won’t go down without help and then isn’t powered until the best time.

Hmm, that's a problem. My incoming truck has the power lift gate(the only feature I kind of wish it didn't have). Maybe Luke (@truckalter) will step in and shed some light on the matter. I've heard of the lift gate needing to be adjusted at the dealer due to issues.... but I've not read of this having to do with a bed cover.

Sorry--Just saw these additional posts. I love the clean look of the lomax cover. Low profile and the "hinges" are super thin and much less noticeable than other options. The cover doesn't go anywhere near the cab--it follows the curvature of the bed and sits inboard a half inch from the bed edge. I haven't had any issue at all either opening or closing the power tailgate. Looks flawless and works flawless......no regrets and no hesitation recommending the cover......

To answer the other question--the cost was $656+tax. Shipping was free. I don't see any currently available in their outlet section for the 4th gen Tacomas tho......

Agreed--I had the same cover on my gladiator and this, along with the design/appearance are the reasons I went looking for one for this truck. It literally takes under a minute to have the cover completely pulled off the truck to have full access to the bed.

Great photos and post that helps me lock in my decision to go Lomax again on the 4th gen. I've been super happy with my current Lomax for 2.5 years on my 3rd gen.
