    Tacoma World,

We currently have a 2006 Tacoma double Cab Trd Offroad short bed with 250K milage on it. 4.0L V6 4x4. We love this truck for a quick daily to and from kid school however we are potentially getting a small 20'-24 trailer. Hence my ask....

Bought it with 150K on the clock in 2016 for 15.5K and have done all the preventative maintenance based on need. Just did full brakes front rotors pads, rear drums and full shoe kit. Shocks were replaced with Bil 5100's in last 15K miles along with full trans flush at 240K.

Rough value for the current truck?? I know the market is crazy now..

Suggestions on another Toyota that would pull 5500 lbs trailer weight?

I WFM so this would be a daily usage of 10 miles and fun trips for camping and garden soil locally.

    Thoughts?

    Budget 20K and under.

I'd use the internet and research Tundra. Some years are probably more reliable than others. I've also had great experiences with nissan cars but have never owned a Titan. I would research those based on your description of how you plan to use this vehicle.

Stay away from domestic vehicles. It took me over 30 years and a :crapstorm:ton of money to finally admit they are designed to fail.

    My 2 cents

A quick search tells me your truck is probably worth 7k tops.

That high mileage is probably going to turn off a lot of people who aren't really into Tacomas. Think about how much you would pay for a 20 year old truck with a quarter million miles on it.

A Tundra is a good place to start if you want to tow that weight with a Toyota.
