Has anyone put a turbo on their 2.7? If so, how do you like it?

I have a 2014 2.7 access cab 4x4 with auto trans. I got a KDMax tune on it now to give it a little more power and for everyday driving, it's absolutely fine. But when I'm hauling my dirt bikes to the motocross track, either on a hitch carrier or trailer, the little 4 banger struggles still. I'm at the point where I'm thinking about trading it in for a V6 tacoma, but my wife is pitching a fit because she doesn't want me to spend the money on another truck (just got this one 2 years ago). So been thinking about putting a turbo kit on it. I know it'll cost me a few grand but def cheaper than buying another truck. Appreciate any input from anyone that's either done it or researched it. I've seen a few turbo kits online that weren't crazy expensive.

Just 3-5psi makes a difference with this engine, I would encourage it. I'm completely DIY but if there was a kit that offered 5psi safely (correct fueling) on stock computer I would 100% go for it. I would add a catch can and possibly consider installing ARP head studs, then call it a day and enjoy your daily.
