Very impressive, did Hale Creek yesterday, the hard way down, probably the worst I have ever been on, tires performed flawlessly at 20 PSI, sidewalls took a beating

Changed the spark plugs at 103k. The newly installed CAI made it that much easier of a job

Ordered some new Falken Rubitrek AT size 285/75/16 for my son's Tacoma. I have these on my 4Runner and love them. The Toyo R/T's on his truck have some decent tread left but previous owner chewed them up pretty good on rocks and they don't ride well. Discount Tire price matched Wal-Mart on both the price and installation, plus I saved 5% using my DT card. I hope I'm done spending money on vehicles for awhile now (famous last words).

Whoa, Hale the hard way down, that’s awesome. Thanks for the feedback. Looking at replacing my tires before the fall.

Built a sleeping platform with drawers. Used 2020 extruded aluminum and free (slightly warped) plywood off Craigslist.
Edit: drawers are only 24" so I could source the slides locally and cheaply.

    Almost complete:

    Prior to plywood fitting:

Complete with scraps loaded to haul off:

Welpers, I ordered it Saturday morning and it arrived today, and believe it or not, I installed it today also... :bananadance:

So far it looks good and fits tight and after driving it in the rain a little bit ago, seems like it will keep most of the water out, I can see light in a few places but don't know how much rain water will make it in, time will tell... Not looking for 100% water prof, just mostly dry, I have 3 big totes that can keep stuff dry if needed, It should do what I need it to... The hardest part and most time consuming thing was putting the little rectangle weather seal between the bed and front rail, what a PIA, hands were cramping afterwards... lol

Haven’t shared any updates in a while but I made some big ones recently. 12x2.5s in the rear and a new topper. IMG_0112.jpg IMG_0113.jpg

Those Coopers are getting a lot of good press lately. Looking forward to swapping out my loud AF Duratracs for the Coopers.

I love my RAS rear suspension upgrade. Which of the 2 settings did you go with? I went with the lower setting, smooth ride on the street and off road and still eliminates the squat when loaded.

    Minor stuff.
Added marine EVA foam padding to my tailgate. I have the Mobtown Offroad aluminum plate and even with that, my bad EMS knees hurt when kneeling on it. This padding feels good. Got it off Amazon. So far it holds up and I left a space to cut up bait when fishing. Screenshot 2025-05-12 100035.jpg

Regrettably swapped my Duratracs out for some Michelin Defender LTX M's 2s. It's so quiet I can hear the differential whine now, and I get 2mpgs better per tank. It also looks like someone's grandpa drives it.

Also, lower setting. Very impress with the DIY kit. It really stabilizes the ride without compromising smoothness.

Finally got around to installing the Stedi flush mount rear bumper lights after two to three months of having them. Has some difficulty with the stock connectors from Nilight but after redoing them and making my own it all worked out.

It has been a bit of a busy month.
    I put on some rrw rr2-s 17x8.5 0 offset wheels wrapped in 34” wildpeaks at4ws! 285/75r17 c rated.
Installed the hypertech for the speedometer readings to adjust for the bigger tires.
Also had Muddy Offroad do a cmc and got their rock sliders installed too.
