Hey TW! This might be a long shot, but does anyone know (or have any solid guesses) of what size bolt is missing in the below photos? The truck is a 2009 PreRunner 4.0L V6. The photos are taken from the passenger side of the truck, looking down into the engine bay past the oil dipstick:

Full disclaimer, my mechanical expertise goes about as far as "that don't look right", but from what I can tell this bracket is supposed to be bolted to the engine there to support the large hoses that the bracket is attached to (looks like they go to the radiator?). Again, if my description seems wrong or confusing, it's probably me, not you.

I'm not sure if one of the previous mechanics who worked on the truck forgot to bolt this piece back on and I just never noticed, or if it rattled loose on my last camping trip (it was several hours of brutal washboard roads in Death Valley). Either way, I'm guessing that Toyota didn't design a bracket to nowhere, so let me know if you have any ideas of what bolt should work there. I do realize that I could buy a thread checker keychain thing, but the location down low looks like it's not immediately accessible, and while I can probably get a bolt and washer thrown in there myself, IDK if that bracket is accessible enough to "feel" if I have the right size bolt.

Thanks in advance, everyone! It's rare that I post on here because there is so much knowledge already available to reference, but if my lack of mechanical vocabulary meant that I missed an obvious thread, feel free to point at the sign and yell ;)

I went and checked out my truck...there is a bolt where you are showing one missing. I looks like it is for a bracket that holds the transmission oil cooler line to the block. If the bracket is the one that is closest to the front of the block, it looks like part 90080-11382 holds that bracket to the block. You'd have to look at the parts drawing and determine exactly which bracket that you are missing a bolt for.

@JAGCanada really appreciate you doing that and thanks for sharing this. I just ran out to my truck again and I think you've nailed it - it appears to be the front bracket and it looks like it matches the bracket on the diagram that you shared (better photo of actual bracket attached below).

Thanks again for your help here! You've saved me a lot of time and confusion. For someone with limited mechanical knowledge like myself, I was expecting to continue searching for the needle in a haystack (without knowing what haystack to check or what a needle I was actually looking for hahaha).

    Cheers!
