Believe you have to do the locker anytime mod to help with that. Truck wont engage the locker unless it’s in 4x4. Since the adds gone the 4x4 ecu won’t engage the locker

You'll need to do more wiring for it to work - there's a DIY "locker anytime" option (I'm on mobile but if you search, easy to find) and plug and play varieties from ExperiMental Designs and maybe others. I think the ADD is in fact the root of it (isn't it always), others may correct me if I am wrong..

If I remember right, there was some skeeze ball drama with Rock Solid Toys and when he ran, he burned everything down behind him. Links haven't worked in years.

That said, all the info is in this thread. It's buried but it is here when you search.

i think in 4wd, that allows the j part of the shifter to move to the other side of the shift rail to shift into neutral/4lo

My truck is equipped with rear lockers from the factory. I’ve seen an aftermarket switch that allows you to engage anytime. Will this be needed after the FJ T case swap? If not does it work off the 4x4 computer? Or will it still work as normal when 4LO is engaged. Thanks in advance

You need the anytime locker mod. Tcase swap jumps the computer out of the equation

I forgot the firing order of the ADD actuators engaging, but wasn't the main reason of getting the fj case to eliminate actuators?

    see my post below too:

Anyone have a stock fj case shifter assembly they want to get rid of?
Mine didn’t come with a shifter and want to keep it normal shift style not twin stick

I have the shifter, but no shift knob. You will also need the shifter metal gasket too that holds back the spring. I'm not sure if the spring is installed correctly, but someone might chime in. I also have the Lexus LX470 boot cover I was going to use to seal the hole in the cab before I decided on twin sticks. Shoot me a fair price for both if you're interested. I have the generic round shift knob from the Front Range twin sticks I'll throw in.

Still working on my conversion. Working on the crossmember today.

If you cut the shifter, which you will have to unless you cut your interior more, the bed bolts are the same thread pitch as the stock FJC/4runner knobs. M12x1.25

Can you make your own knob?
