Die Cast Mijo 1/24

Got my 1/24 scale Trailhunter Bronze Oxide P/N H08777-BRZ. The roof rack is attached by double-side tape. The bed bar is held on by gravity. There's some suspension travel, and the front wheels steer. The mirrors fold, which is the first I've seen of any die cast model. The sliders feel very delicate in plastic.



It's noticeably bigger than the Maisto 3rd gen model, which is at an uncommon 1/27 scale:

That's an um.... pretty interesting flaw

 

Closest match I could find on the engine cover is the 4.7L V8 in foreign-market 200-series Land Cruisers... which made less torque than the 2.4L 4-cyl.

Where was the cheapest place you found this?

 

Cheapest place I've seen is Diecast Direct. They're around $30-$40 on Amazon but $20ish there.

eBay has them for $21.99 and $7.50 for shipping. How much cheaper are you guys looking for lol. This is like 2 coffees for me.

I can't blame them for not wanting to try and accurately represent this rats nest at 1/24 scale:

 

They could at least make it without the rats nest and make it with the correct block.

 

If you want a "pretty" engine bay, get an EV.

 

Some reason I keep seeing a Chevy with a Toyota front end lol
