24 fender flares

hi has anyone put trd fender flares on 24 sr5

 

No need for me. My SR5 4x4's stock metal flares do the job just fine.

 

The fenders are different

Enjoy it for what it is, dont try & make it something its not....
Nothing wrong with the 1 piece fender / flare design, I actually prefer it....
Sharper more obvious transition, looks good...

 

Some funny responses here. Using knowledge gained from this Gen 3 post, https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/fender-flare-installation-on-non-flared-tacomas-tutorial.494336/ I bought the factory flares for the '24 OR and prepped em, but haven't installed them on my SR5 XtraCab yet. The double sided tape requires pretty warm temps to bond and I haven't had free time on a warm enough day to install them. Anecdotally, most of paint chips on my truck so far (all very tiny) are on the bare rear flares, exactly where the plastic covers on the OR. I'll circle back w/ pics once I install them. Based on the forecast here in the Seattle area, it won't be this coming week.

 

It appears that ‘25 4Runner SR5’s now receive the same unpainted fenders as the OR’s from the factory, and their front ends look compatible to Tacoma.

 

For anybody that cares, here is what’s under those fender flares.

 

i done it on 3rd gen sr5 with the 3m tape it work do the fender flares line up and look like theyll work on 4th gen

How about where they tie into the bumper. See the above pic.

 

The G4 flares replace the vented plastic wedge trim that comes on the front flare of the SR5 wheel wells. Nytop has pics for removing them in the instructions for installing their flares. The G4 doesn't have the protection strip that needs replaced to do this on a G3. Other than that, looks to be an identical process. Main difference is that the G4 is so new you have to buy the flares from the dealer, instead of getting takeoffs, and they're expensive. But what isn't nowadays?
