35-37 for an average ride. 36 sounds great.

Weird experience today. It’s raining here in central NC so after starting Taco I turned on the lights and backed out of garage. I’m installing a new garage door opener so I’ve got to close/open and lock door manually. When I walked back in front of vehicle I heard what sounded like air escaping from a tire. Walked around vehicle and definitely coming from engine bay. No other accessory running except for lights. All tires at normal pressure. When I got back home did not notice sound. WTF?

Did you check your on-board air compressor and tank?

Ugg, my garage door opener broke a while back, I am still trying to figure out who to call... lol

As far as the noise at start up, are you sure it was not the fan clutch being engaged?? Mine sounds like it is fully engaged at start up but then frees up shortly afterwards and quietens back down... It does move a lot of air when engaged, so it could be confused as air leaking I guess...o_O

It could be. But I go through the same routine every time I take the Taco out of the garage and today was the first time I’ve heard it. I was so confused I thought it was someone using a string trimmer next door.

Washed the bed... Mud, sand, pollen...... It needed to be done

Changed the oil, filter, rotated the tires (plugged one that had a screw in it)... More exciting and adventurous maintenance on my rig

In case it does it again tomorrow, I would pop the hood and do the same routine and if it does then raise the hood to see if the fan is moving a lot of air, vs when the noise is not there... Just don't forget to close the hood before driving... lol

This is awesome! What are you doing to access the dead space around the drawers? Are you adding an access panel of some sort?

    Exhaust leak?
Near the block it has a rhythmic sound but as pressures equalize near the cat it could sound like a hiss.

Unsure at this time. The plywood platform is 5/8", so not terribly heavy to lift out of the way to gain access, but I am considering routing the edges of 1/2" plywood to fit in the t-slots to create dividers. It's a work in progress, with no clear outcome.

Then you should get one so you could blame it on the compressor! :spending:

Technically it was yesterday but had a customer try to wrap their head around how we handle the springs and spacers we use to off-load weight from the load sensors when upgrading their seat because of the weight difference and the airbags not being calibrated for the seated weight of the seat.

So,yet another new article written. This time explaining how and why we use specific springs and spacer pack to accomplish the registering of the weight difference between your OEM seats and the scheel-mann Vario F upgrade without needed to use TechStream:

Simple project. I picked up a camp axe and had to figure out how to secure it in the bed where I keep some of my off road camping gear permanently under the BakFlip cover.

The rest of my recovery gear, straps, shackles etc, along with my compressor and FasterFlate system get added, strapped down in the bed, when I'm going off road. This leaves the bed open for hauling things when needed between trips.

I relocated the Quickfist clamps for the shovel lower on the hardwood mount I hung from the bed track. I then added another hardwood piece behind the two hardwood mounts and mounted the two QuickFist clamps I had in my parts bin to hold the axe.

    Worked out pretty good.
