    Good afternoon fellas,

I have a 2006 Toyota Tacoma v6 pre runner. I’ve never had any issues with my truck since I bought it in 2008. About a week ago, I drove my truck to work. I parked it for 2 hours, then when I went to start it, it would not start. It cranks but doesn’t start. I towed it to my mechanic and when he turned the key to turn on the truck, the truck turned on. He turned off and tried again and it wouldn’t start, just crank but didn’t turn over. He check the fuel system, relays, everything. He found that it loses communication with the computer intermittently. He check all the wiring and found nothing. He changed the computer, put a new one and it still did the same thing. Can you guys help me out?? There’s no check engine light at all either.

I mean your probably not gona find anything when it isn't broken, need to check powers, grounds, and 5v ref at the ECM when it's not starting.

Being it's intermittent you may just for kicks swap the EFI relay with a known good one and see if that solves it.
Otherwise it's gona be down to checking the above when it's broken and seeing what's missing.

Thank you. I’ll swap it out and see what happens. I checked grounds, I gutted the whole thing and still didn’t find anything.
