Installed the PL5400 BOLT coded to the ignition key in the tailgate this afternoon, after ordering direct from Pop and Lock at Green Bay, Wisconsin. I've always been a fan of the Northern Conference; Packers, Vikings, Lions and Bears, oh my! Those have always been my favorite intraconference games, especially when they were outdoors. Jerry Kramer of Sandpoint, Idaho was the last player of Green Bay's Ice Bowl team inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame.

i've never dove that deep into the engine, is it considered blown because the black sealant(?) is missing on the top cylinder? what issues was that causing that made you pull the head?

I believe so but not 100% sure. I had bubbling coolant. Radiator going low but reserviour filling up and not suctioning back to the radiator when cool. Gurgling sound behind the dash.

Leet topper with third brake light wiring.
IMG_3230.jpg IMG_3228.jpg First time posting here. Here is my 2008 TRD Sport Access Cab. Going for a silver/black/orange theme. Leer topper (wired third brake light, orange dipped Leer logo), aftermarket headlights/ taillights (not sure which ones as they were installed by the previous owner), partial dipped front bumper, dipped rear bumper and fender flares, front windows tinted to match the access door windows. Not sure which aftermarket grille it has as this was also installed by the previous owner.

Good luck! I'm putting mine back together now - timing cover goes back on next then making sure everything gets plugged back in.

Any heat signature on the plastic actuator? Concerned about the need to add heat wrap or a clamp on shield. This has been on my list forever. Finally getting around to some stuff.

The perspective in the picture is deceptive, it’s not very close, I never checked to see how hot it was before the reroute, but after driving it home after having it done I could hold my hand on it.

Yeah, my main thought is that when in 4 low working hard and slow and steep on a hot day and airflow is minimal. I guess I've never heard of a failure in this scenario, but only a tiny fraction of Tacomas have this mod. Not like I do that every day though LOL.

I guess it’s possible, and the skid is definitely going to decrease airflow and hold heat, but I know guys who hammer their trucks way harder than I do that have had the mod for a long time, so I’m not super worried about it.

I do personally know 3 people who have mashed or hung the “tail hook” part of their exhaust that routed under the T case though… makes the truck sound terrible

Yeah I just nicked mine a few years ago on a class 2 very rocky trail, before I finally put the lift on. It is the lowest thing right in the high-center sweet spot. Thanks, people who brought us Entune.
