My wife and I are having a hard time deciding on a tent for the back of our 2022 tacoma sr5 w/ 5ft bed and tri fold tonneau cover. We are between the bed tent or the ladder bed tent but could not find any stair aftermarket accessory, just ladders. Any suggestions?

We have the Desert Armor one (I think that was the second link). Our German Shepard goes up and down with no issue. Our tent is at top of cab height. We just put the bottom of the ladder on a cooler, to make the ladder less steep.

Make sure your dog will use a ladder before your trip. I bought my dog a 2 step stool to help him get into the cab. He won’t use it and still prefers and is able to jump up. Might require some additional training before your trip.

The 2 step stool comes in handy for me when I climb into the bed to wash my truck, so it is not going to waste.
