Back windows are 20% from factory (didn't read the whole thread but I'm sure it was mentioned). My fronts are tinted 35% but I'm going to tint the entire truck 5% all the way around (not the windshield of course). Around here they don't even pay attention to tint. I don't like the idea of anyone being able to see in my truck and see what I have inside. Yes... I understand from a officers perspective and if I get pulled over I roll down my side windows so they can see what is inside the truck while walking up. Illegal?.... yup... I've always tinted mine completely blacked out and I want them to see that there is nothing inside the truck and see what they are walking up on. But on the flip side of that coin I want to be able to park my truck and not worry about anyone seeing inside if I'm carrying my backpack or any other valuables inside the back seat.

My wife's car is tinted that way and the windshield is tinted 35%. Looks cool and doesn't hinder driving even at night.

    Flame on.

I went completely opposite of what others do.

Only my two sides are 40% Ceramic Tint and then I had 70% Ceramic Tint installed on the rest of the glass. Collectively it seems dark all while remaining legal.

    Fronts 40%
    Windshield 70%
    Rears 70%
    Back Window 70%

I have much better visibility at night with the lighter tint, and at my age the 40% on the Fronts is pushing what I can comfortably see out of. :drevil:

The fronts were tinted to match the rear windows.

Haha fact! The struggle is real

    Truck looks good!
I'm ditching my 30% when I replace the cracked windshield. It is a tad dark lol!

    Maybe 70% like "Ripper"

In the past I've always done my inspections, You're in Morrisville NC, I worked at Crossroads Ford. I know a few people who can do inspections. But now i don't have the luxury to pass everything i want on my own ride!

I have 5% on the sides and back with 80% clear on the entire windshield. On the base regular cabs (not sure about the SR5), all of the glass doesn't appear tinted at all from the factory so I guess you could say I was starting with 100% visibility.

Would I do 5% again? No. It is not easy to drive it at night but thankfully I don't have to do that very often. My plan is to remove the 5% tint and redo it to a lighter tint. Never had an issue with state inspection or police however. In fact Texas just did away with annual state safety inspections so I expect the police to be looking for tint violations even more now.

For various reasons, not everyone chooses to wear sunglasses. Not helpful. Do you have any useful advice or photos about tint for this thread?

Do your sunglasses keep your cabin cool? :p

Cooling the cab has never been an issue. Heating it on the other hand...
