just a couple of things tbh
thats not a bad idea ill look into it thanks!

i do want to say i did try the ninja 1100sx and it wasnt terrible but it wasnt good on comfort and when i test rode it. ya it might sound like im a wimp but it kinda bothered me to have that quick of a bike. i know it wasnt a super sport but it was just way to much and just not comfortable compared to the tracer so very happy with my choice! thanks for all the advice from everyone in here!

I've often seen it written and subscribe to the belief, "It's better to ride a slow bike fast than to try to ride a fast bike slow".

I think you made a wise choice and will get years of happiness with the Tracer. Let me know when you're ready to try and earn your IBA number. Maybe @FreshOldTaco and I can meet you somewhere halfway. LOL.

Do any of y'all have some decent cheap and breathable pant recommendations? I have a pair of Iron Workers jeans now, and while they're super comfy they're also ridiculously hot. Trying to stay around 200 or less.

I tried touring mode on the FJR once......bored me to tears.....Guess I'm too used to sport mode. I might use touring more in the rain now if I think about it.

    This is the way.

As much as we all wanna be badasses, being comfortable, and letting everything become instinctive, will only make you safer and have way more fun, and THAT's the point. I know you've had those moments where you're completely at ease on the bike...there's not much like it. Enjoy.

yuup there is so much for me to learn still on this bike so not smart to just slap it into sport mode and rip it.
    haha fair fair
i plan to use it a few times but not all that much

I think my problem is the bikes I've owned or ridden in my past. 2 Buells, 3 FJR1300s, Yamaha FJ1100 plus all the fun stuff I got seat time on working for as dealership. Moto Guzzi LeMans 1100, Ducati 750 F-1, 851 Superbike, Honda Superhawk, Suzuki TL1000R, Triumph Daytona 595, and others. It likely helps that I've matured to a point where having it doesn't have to mean using it all the time.

you hear pro athletes talk about how the 'game slows down'. Major league hitters can see the seams on a 100 mph fastball and adjust their hands mid swing. A pro quarterback will recall a screen pass and tell you two hours later where each reciever and each defender were. You'll eventually have that experience on your bike if you take it slow and just keep racking up miles.

I rode my BMW in "Sport" mode the first year I had it. Then I finally bumped it up to Race mode. Never even touched Slick mode, didn't see any point on the streets lol.

Installed dei platinum header wrap on the monkey. Just to get rid of the chrome look. Was easy and I have never done it before. I used a trick I saw about putting it in a vice and rolling as you pull to keep it tight. Worked good.

Thanks! And I know right everyone is getting something haha.

Agreed j wasn't sure about the red at first but man it hits good on the tracer! I do want some type of subtle graphics kits on it like a topographic or something in white to make it pop.

    Good looking bike.

I’m not riding the DGR. but did find out a guy at my office is, after seeing there was a ride in my local area. I had sent him an email and he confirmed that he was participating.. So, I made a donation to him. to be honest, I didn’t even think he worked for us anymore (company wise). Come to find out... this will be his second year, and riding his speed twin. and of course I said, pic’s or it didn’t happen. haha

They got traction control for a reason! lol jk, ride what makes you feel comfortable.

Agreed, even after ECU reflash on my super tenere i mainly ride in sport mode, touring mode is for off road at this point to soften the downlow throttle inputs, but on the street gotta twist the throttle way too far for anything of notable fun to happen. TCS gets in the way....errrr.... keeps me in line with the wheelies.
