It was based on the French Revolution! They're all French actors and they invented a language for the show based on French pronunciation. So cool

 

Just finished Andor, Jesus fucking Christ what a story. This will go down as some of the best TV ever

 

yeah. this was one hell of a ride. I'm sad it's over. But also glad we have it. Tony Gilroy and team need more star wars projects.

 

whats next?

 

Not much for awhile. Visions 2, meh, then next year is Maul and the Mando movie

 

Damn Andor is so good, definitely enjoyed the 3 story arc release compared to the slow once a week release. Helped with pacing.

 

essentially getting an entire movie every week was so good.

Oh god, no idea. I mean, Lonny would've probably been killed or imprisoned by the empire. his family, who the hell knows what would've happened. and for Dedra, she lost literally everything and got jailed but without any strings anywhere. i'd imagine she might zap herself soon. so....neither?

I felt for Lonny’s family. I think Luthen and the others in the rebellion didn’t have the capacity to support the family of a covert informant
Dedra’s downfall was chilling. From being brought in on the super secret Gorman project to being stupid enough to hold on to info she shouldn’t have. Hubris is wonderful until someone more powerful slaps you back..

Yeah, maybe that's why Luthen shot him? In some sick, twisted "mercy"? Dude, the scene with Krennic in the interrogation room was pure drama.

Agree, I couldn’t help but think of his groveling with Vader in RO during that scene. Both actors did an excellent job throughout the series.

Tony Gilroy explains that introducing Cassian's son in Andor "is not just a way of creating another character for Disney and Lucasfilm."

"It's really much more about finishing on an up note and finishing with something that I think all the people who made the show really want to express, which is that in the end, we really do want to be hopeful."

 

I was thinking it also makes his sacrifice at the end of rogue one that more meaningful
