How flammable is the plastic you printed with? The premade spacers for this are a flame retardent plastic in order to keep a small electrical fire from turning into a big one...... They also only cost a couple dollars.

Made a spacer block for new led light pods for the Prinsu rack. Found a model Hyrule crest to add for a finishing touch. Prototype of that one turned out well, will just have to check it tomorrow.

First two prototypes were not quite right. First had a rounded front but looked funny. Second was a block but needed a few edits. Third should be good enough. After the test fit tomorrow, I’ll print the 4 others I need.

It fit pretty well, just made a tiny change to the hole size and have the other 4 printing now.

While I appreciate the sentiment, I'm not concerned one bit. The ring was printed from ABS which has a flame point of 660⁰F or 350⁰C. That said:

    1) I'm a licensed electrician and took plenty of other precautions to ensure that the install doesn't come to the point of failure (i.e. strict strip lengths, torqued connections, full tape around the connections to limit exposed conductors/connections).

    2) If this trim ring is exposed to 660⁰F or 350⁰C, then the wires were melted LONG before the ABS since NM-B (Romex) only has a temp rating of 90⁰C.

    3) Even printed, these only cost me cents each compared to a few bucks a piece at the store.

    What haven’t I changed?
I haven’t printed much of anything lately but recent events have prompted me to revamp the networking in my house so I printed some brackets to keep my new equipment aligned until I decide on a rackmount solution.

Enclosure is key you need the heat around the printer to be consistent to help prevent warping.

Been working on diesel heater ports for my trailer. Started a print last night for an elbow... once again my tree supports were knocked loose by the nozzle. This has been an ongoing issue with tree supports.

Positive note, it appears I dont NEED supports since the top still printed without anything supporting it, its just in the wrong spot lol

I think I can salvage this print though. I should be able to glue the top into the correct place. Its just for attaching a flexible vent hose.

I have switched to grid supports, 3mm spacing, no sheath, and no longer worry about the tree supports getting knocked off. The trees tend to collect a "drip" after the nozzle makes a pass and this builds up, then the tip knocks them over. Using retract does help with the trees, but after having wasted the equivalent of a few rolls of filament over the last year, I try to not use the trees anymore.

I'm already using a decent amount of retract. Also set it to avoid supports when traversing and only move withing the print when possible to limit stringing.

I have been using zigzag supports lately because they seem to be the easiest to remove while still providing good support. Only reason I went with tree this time around was it wanted to fill the tube with zigzags.

Those of y'all with Bambu Lab printers, they have a filament sale going on, 4+ roll refills are $14.99, with spool 17.99
