Here’s my “gardening section.” IMG_2594.jpgThe rake is for campsites, plus they are good for raccoons. the loppers are nice to have. Bolt cutters are for locked gates…. In the event I really need to go that way instead IMG_2595.jpg

Since no one else chimed in, I cannot speak directly to the OEM cover, but some versions only flip twice, and then you have to remove it. Lomax covers come in a three fold, with arms to strap the last to the cab roof, so you can drive with it open, or the other version only flips twice, and to get the rest of the space you remove it. the Lomax difference is described that the two fold one is very easy to remove and reinstall, but the tri fold model is much more difficult to remove, but rarely do you need to remove it. With it folded up, it still takes up 6 or 8 inches of the open bed. Hope this helps with understanding you own.

You don't. Toyota top LOOKS like a 3 Flipper but it's really a 2 flipper.

Ditto, you just described my first oil change on my taco. In the past I’ve always used a stainless steel pan like you would see on a buffet line, always worked well. But not so well on this truck, I too was given a bath in 0-20. Now I use a bucket and it works well.

I have those steel hotel pans for tools and parts. I’ve been using the free curbside recycling oil pan for draining. Have to ask our garbage company for it, they pick up, and drop off a little baggie for the filter also. But anyway, it’s this type of panIMG_2599.jpgdef needs to have the vent open when draining, I’ve also been leaving the engine fill cap on while draining.
Synthetic oil seems to “clean up” easier than conventional.

Get yourself a fumoto valve. Then all you'll have to worry about is the filter

Not available in my area (TN), never even heard of it before... Local auto parts store, or I just use one of my old work shops to drain my 5 gallon used oil container(s) (not bucket)...

EDIT, may not have worded it fully lol
Local auto parts stores all take used oil as well as local auto repair shops... Curbside is NOT available...

Purchased Toyota Certified, with Vijay bumpers, additional lights, and Falken Wildpeaks on Fuel rims. Prev owner apparently painted the grill.
Welcome to the future man, its available in your area. You may have to take it to your auto parts store to recycle it, and it may take a while to get it shipped to you...2weeks from everywhere.jpg

Oops, forgot a few words, see edit above... :D

I was referring to curb side pick up for used fluids, not taken it somewhere anyway...

I figure it’s a California thing. Honestly I just use the pan and pour into the newly empty container or a 5 gallon bucket and take it to the auto parts store. It’s easier than calling for a pickup.

4 cylinder? Any rattles? Do you have more pics? Does it block the tranny drain plug?

My new to me '22 SR5 DCLB. Put new wheels and tires, mud flaps, and VLEDs tail-light kit. Had a '24 but it suffered from too many first year production glitches IMO. Went to the 3G for the simplicity and enjoying this truck a lot.
