I took another whooping from those dang turkeys this morning. Had my safety off 3 times but no shoot . At this point last year I already had both my tags filled and contributed to the death of 3 other turkeys .

 

I know there are still generously nice people out there. ​

The 'jig is up waaay high. This is the Witherspoon bridge right down from my house. Up about 4' from what I remember

If the Conococheague has been higher than that, I haven't seen it.

I was surprised to see another 2 inches in the rain gauge overnight.
What's that add up to now?
I think over 8 inches in less than a week?

 

I haven't seen it personally higher, but you can see the "WL" on that bridge which was the water line that the bridge was under from Hurricane Agnes in 1972. That road just down the way is completely under water as of a little bit. Normally this time of year I divert all my gutters to the cistern in the back, but it got full and I had to divert the gutters out into the yard

 

Yes. We've had about 8 since the start of May. I think I'll empty the rain gauge monthly so I can keep track of the monthly totals from now on.

 

Everything is overflowing. I went over the Monocacy today and it was super high. I'm sure the antietam is over it's banks down the street.
