These are the steps to fit 35s on a 3" lifted truck too..

There's also cut out the flare, fender liners, possibly the bumper (definitely if it's not aftermarket).
CMC is also sometimes not enough, some have to do CMR too.

That said, @alwaysHI did say he did what he did "for insurance" (I take that to mean he did it anyway w/o checking if it was actually needed).
I'm on 34s w/4.5" and nowhere near the pinch seam on mine. I did have to hit the very bottoms of the front fenders with some heat to reform the plastic back about ⅜", but that's it (no actual trimming) Obviously w/35s a bit more would be needed, but still not anything close to what's needed at only 3" lift.

Im not on a 6" lift. Used to have 35s for 5 years and got tired of them.

But i never cut my rear fenders or flares. Had 3" of lift, cut cab mount but never welded in a plate, flattened pinch weld, and maybe some small taps on the inner fender wells. No mud flaps, no plastic liners in the front.. I did just fine.

Like I said. Wheels dictate what you need to do

and yes I cut the cab mount cause I’m not going back twice

I could do that too

Wheels are 16x8, -25mm offset/3.5bs. Its never rubbed the frame, maybe the cab mount a little?

Those wheels definitely helped. Truck looks good. Wish I never went high
