Picked up a Boreas EOS12 in Pueblo, CO and heading straight to Overland Expo West in Flagstaff? Anyone else going?

Any recs for spots out there? I’m visiting Zion and Bryce in about a month and while I have a campsite for a few nights and an AirBnb for a few, I’ve left my plans open to sub in a night or two wilderness camping as well in the truck. Started researching tonight and figured I’d poke around TW too.

Tons of free BLM land sites in the area. If you can make it to Arches and Moab area especially. My wife and I spent weeks in UT and never had to pay for a site, worth looking at freecampsites.net or whatever apps show them.

@whtmtngrv Im not sure where you are staying/camping but when we went last year we camped out in Red Canyon campground first 2 nights. This is an established campground with toilets and you have to pay of course.

Then we found an area down the road from there on hwy 12 Red Canyon Boondock camping area. You can go in pretty deep and there was no one there when we camped out that night. This one is easy to miss off hwy 12 as is a small dirt road entrance. Really nice area. The other area where I took the picture of the Milky Way was another area down the road as well off of the hwy 12 you exit Toms Best Spring Rd. You can also drive into that dirt road pretty deep and find plenty of areas to camp.

Red Canyon Boondock area. This one shows the route from Red Canyon Campground where we stayed the first 2 nights to Red Canyon Boondock area

Dixie National Forest Dispersed camping area Milky Way location. This route is from Red Canyon Boondock area to Dixie Forest Dispersed area.
Both these camp areas are very close to Bryce Canyon. Im sure there are other disperse camping areas but these are the 2 locations we camped and were great areas.
