About to pull the trigger to put 315 75 16 with a 3 inch lift for around 3300 km3 tires and rough country with airbags, once you start with suspension it gets pricey effecting other components like eventually will have to regear

I’m coming from a lifted F-350. Bought a Tacoma to save money. I like the look stock and it will go most any place the F-350 could go. There’s consequences to every modification.

I didn't want to lift my truck, but wanted a little extra. So I finished the skid plates. I went aluminum for weight because I don't grind them every trip. I consider it "Oh shit" protection. It's surprising how many impact scratches the transfer plate and rear diff plate have already.

Some love their lifts, others regret doing it. There are concessions you need to live with with a lift. Me, I don't do heavy offroading. Mostly just dirt roads and such getting to fishing and hunting places. I'll be going with a larger tire that will still fit with the factory suspension when the OEM tires finally wear out.

I told my wife the shocks needed upgrade because the suspension was terrible.

I saved for the parts and used my work bonus for the labor.

    SCORE!!!
