You can grow your own with copper leads, I wouldn't use those terminals. Something like this. If you get military style terminals, make sure they are lead-based. Bought some cheapo ones on Fleabay and they cracked on first torque. Serves me right lol . . .

Usually you get what you pay for and what is importatnt when it comes to wiring is the wire count. The generic wires in the auto parts store while being good enough just dont have the wire count. Electrons flow on the outside of the wire so if you have a conductor of 12 wires of a certain gauge it will flow less amperage that a similar sized conductor with 100 smaller wires. There is a cost benefit relationship here and only you can answer if it is worth it or not.

If I was to go with better (non- generic) wire, where would be the place to go?
I haven’t done much electrical stuff yet. When I swapped out a connector it took me several tries to crimp the sleeve that joins the wires together & it still looks precarious. I’m sure there are tools I am lacking as well.
So the idea would be to get good wire & copper leads, which need to be crimped on. Plus good terminals….
Is all of this available at NAPA? I know they have the pre-made wires & they have buy it by the foot stuff. Not sure if they do wire this way…. Or is that still considered generic?

I use wire loom over everything.......I even put a silicone jacket over the kickdown cable....so the headers dont cook all the lube out of it

A local battery store can custom build your battery cables. This will be less and a time saver than cutting your own wires. If you plan on adding components (winch, dual battery, etc …), then, at that point, it may be worth it assembling your own cables.
