I found a low milage one for 25k would you be interested :). Too bad you don't like Lunar Mist, because I always find them for sale TRD models with decent milage. I'll keep you updated as I continue my search.

Around $26,000 worth of unleaded in the fuel tank.
Considering that its easy to put $3000 to $4000 into DIY repairs on a truck that has been neglected or due for services, there is quite some difference in what it is truly worth.

How much would you be willing to invest in the first year of ownership after purchasing? Have that in mind when looking at any car you’re buying preowned.

I would advise you to always attempt to get a carfax report. This will tell you where the Truck was sold and where it lived most of its life. Anything from the NE Rustbelt area would be a hard pass for me. As I've told many buyers in the past, don't be in a hurry, take your time and the right truck will come along. These frames tend to rust from the inside out, and most TW members always advise buyers to hammer test the frame if at all possible. Also any surface rust is going to equate to rusted nuts and bolts.

Just for the fun of it, go to bring a trailer and look at the 1st gen trucks for sale on this website :)

you’re absolutely right I went to Carfax and pulled the report and it lived most of its life in Pennsylvania.

and first year of ownership I’m probably gonna get the entire underside sprayed and I can imagine that’s a few thousand dollars so might as well just tuck my tail and move on. and as he mentioned, the rest starts from the inside and works it way out so I just gotta keep looking

I like the green color better, but the white Tacoma looks like it's has a stock suspension, which is better in my biased opinion. If you buy one that has a stock suspension, you'll get the best gas milage, less problems, and if you want to modify it, do it the way you want it done. Personally I'd advise to keep it stock. These are nice trucks, and will go most places. If you want to do hard core off roading, put a better skid plate on it, and beef up the suspension to your liking. Stock Tacomas keep their resale value better also.

Wow, both of the have matching campers, which is a plus also. If your looking for a lifted truck, then the green one might be just right.

FYI, getting your truck undercoated with Fluid Film or the like is only a couple hundred bucks, not thousands.

Honestly I wouldn’t buy a 20 year old vehicle unless it’s a pristine Tacoma on BAT. The only reason I have mine is I’m the original owner.

    Yea that’s what I should stick with…

I think this red one checks all the boxes boys… the underside of this truck is damn near perfect.

215,000 miles but it’s in phenomenal shape
