    Good point!

It might be a good idea to have a torch and some crayons.

I don't know that trick but I do have a propane torch.....

If I think of it when I'm changing parts, I'll hit the bolts with PB Blaster a day or two before.

The worse ones always seems to be the swaybar links and the rear shock top nut.

When we did my suspension in January, my buddy said that he had heard of people using a crayon so we tried it and it seemed to work pretty well. You heat up the bolt and then hold the crayon against and the crayon melts into the threads.

When I did mine, rear shock upper and ubolts had to cut off.

We go around clueless and happy without knowing of the drama that surrounds us?

The only thing more drama filled is an extended family whatsapp group chat… Don’t even have one and I still can’t avoid the drama.

We may have had some deep philosophical conversations about stuff like this around the campfire…music is a really wild thing. It definitely affects people different ways, but it’s something that’s definitely hardwired into our brains. The link between music and memory is magical. Music will help set memories, and recall them. Even for simple memorization of information, music is a huge multiplier for our ability to learn and recall any kind of information. It’s just like how smells (or other senses) will trigger memories, but I think it’s way more powerful.

I’ve also seen some interesting reactions in kids to music. It’s such a powerful thing that when a kid listens to deeply emotional music, they sometimes really don’t know what to do with themselves. I’ve seen kids cry and try to get away from emotionally powerful music…not because of volume, just because of how notes/melodies/harmonies are strung together. It was almost kind of sad, like they were made to feel emotions they didn’t want to have. I think that goes for adults too…which is maybe why we have musical moods. Sometimes we don’t want to have our emotions taken a certain direction, so we avoid certain music. Other days, it might be exactly what we want and we’ll want that music because we want those emotions.

One of the coolest things in life is to watch somebody or a group of people play music for somebody in front of them. Personally, I think it’s one of the most special gifts people can give to others. Sounds cheesy, but it’s true.

    Music is a trip!

If you're keeping the swaybar on, I have some extra linkage nuts. I also have a brand spanking new set of MOOG links, if anyone is interested.

    Let me look around, tonight.
I might have some of the other misc nuts and bolts laying around.

Fakebook can certainly be a bad thing, if you let it. I've ignored plenty of friend requests, and unfriended people who were overly negative. I'm also getting better at not reacting to the random stupid shit that constantly gets posted.

But, there's plenty of upside to it. Like reading silly comments about Tigerton. :D

    So much truth in here!

I absolutely agree about music moods. This is exactly the reason I tend to play lighter music at social gatherings (my boat-day play list) and will listen to more serious music when I'm alone.

I sometimes really miss being in a band. There's definitely something very special about playing music in front of a good crowd! Sure, there were bad shows (I have some funny stories on this topic). But, the good ones are so much fun! And, one of my best memories was turning a potentially bad show into a great show. Another story I never get tired of retelling. :)

Hopefully I will be making a run to Madison in a little bit. Tim, I'll leave the jackstands in front of the garage.

    Nice!

On this note, I believe my bigger set of jack stands are 25-26" tall. The smaller ones are... uhh... smaller.

Edit: also, larger ones are 6 ton, smaller ones are 4 ton.

It's only as bad as you make it. Ignore the BS, and you're fine.

I do agree that there's a lot of awful shit out there. But, Tacomaworld is social media, and it's generally pretty useful. Hell, I don't even know what I would have spent my money on for the last couple of years without Tacoma world.
