if I did it I would shoot up to old Florida road after too and do both ideally.

    I know it’s short but it’s a fun one.

    Is OFR still open?
I'm going on memory now: They had a similar experience to Ma Bell where the goarounds were closed off, so you have to hit the gatekeeper. My truck doesn't stand a chance at either. I could do Ma Bell being winched up at least 3 things, but that's no fun going in knowing I need to get dragged up - means the truck can't do it. (don't want to hear any comments about papa bear, didn't need a winch, just construction. The rest of the trail was way worse than I remembered).

I'm game. If the Motor Trend team could get through it in Defenders (link: https://www.motortrend.com/features/lucky8-offroad-2020-land-rover-defender-old-florida-road-trail) I'm sure we could make it.

Believe so regarding open / stay on trail mandates. Gatekeeper is even more mandatory than MA Bell which has that go-around on the left.

I think @tacobell007 was saying it's gotten really rutted out and bad the last couple years, I'd FAFO but definitely come prepared to winch lol

Can both be done in the same day if you hit ma bell early? Or is it worth trying to do ma bell one day and ofr another? Maybe camp between? I have some class 4’s saved near ofr across the border.

Idk about now but before I could barely get my front tires on the first rock face. There's 2 rock faces that are hard, a couple rock gardens where 35s and sliders still hit slider hard, and a drainage pipe at the end thats sketchy coming off of.

There's 3 parts to this, this is part 2. Part one shows how big that first rock is, part 3 is me going over. I was on 35s and candy-caned my rear driveshaft, in 2019. FYI

    https://youtu.be/I5L0zEQcVjI?si=njJuuZ_ftJ9VjnQ5

It'll get a good workout then lol.

Id recommend 2 days, depending on your skill level. IF you're very comfortable you can do both in the same day but its a ton of driving. Better off do old Florida and then going to the Hoosac Tunnel or Savoy State Forest. If you're running for time, up and down on ma bell is about 45 to 50 mins, maybe less. Old Florida is another 45ish mins from ma bell, hour and a half on a quick run through, and then you're in the middle of nowhere.

TBH OFR sounds like a proper good time.

2 days would work for me, I think if my buddy Pat and I were just doing it we could knock out 1 day but once you get over 3 trucks time adds up quick. Also I suggested Father Day weekend not remembering I have a wedding that Saturday. Maybe 7-8? Or 21-22?

Yea the 2 guys i use to do the trails with we could do both in a day but i don't see the sense in rushing it, especially since you can check out the sites by OFR and there's plenty of good food by MA Bell/ Jeep Eater

I could be down for a weekday. I’m earning some extra time off on the job I’m on.
I know it’s hard for most to get a midweek day tho

You know I'm in. I cant do the 19-20 then we are doing Jared's shock relocation at some point in July I think. Date not decided yet.

Anyone is welcome to camp in my yard to break up the driving if they are coming from far away. Or if we need to fix some carnage
