Normal Sound, or some new tick. (I know there's a tick from factory)

I'm fully aware of the standard diesel-ish sounds these trucks make, just this sounds off, its alot more rapid, no heat is on, nothing, I'm thinking its in the system of belts, either a bearing or something. Just not fully sure and want some opinions. This is all pretty new to me, last vehicle was a beater hyundai where the problems were easy to point out, this is alot different.

For whatever reason, i cant get it to make a regular video to embed, because its recorded non landscape, YouTube sucks.

Yeah that’s pretty noisy mine doesn’t sound that way. Have you checked the idler pulley and tensioner?

    It could the vacuum pump.

you started a thread asking about your electronics. u got lots of opinions and advice and said you would take some of it. then disappeared without posting resolution (over 2 weeks now). now you start another thread and want advice. members, especially those with valued opinions, notice. do better.

I havent had a resolution yet, life gets in the way, people get busy. Im trying to collect ideas, and go through things to figure everything out and aswell bring it to the dealer with these issues. But the hostility is something people will notice too.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
When the truck is idling does the belt run smoothly?

I know it’s a pain in the arese, but you should remove the drive belt and see what it sounds like

Everything seems to be smooth, no squeals or squeaks from belts, compared to past belts ive dealt with i cant see anything wrong but im fairly limited in my knowledge

Most of the extra noise sounds heavily top ended.

Edit : It’s finally scheduled to the dealer for next Tuesday with a nice list for them. We’ll see how much they “can’t replicate” the noise or other issues.

Get a Mechanics stethoscope off Amazon. They are fairly cheap and easy to locate odd mechanical noises with.
Practice with it first though, use your fingers on the probe to dampen sound.

Honestly completely forgot about this forum, life gets busy. As of now it’s been concluded as “all sounds within normal operating db levels” and nothing else was wrong.

Possibly related maybe not, my ac has now failed in loud fashion, screaming and shutting off automatically, assuming the local ac shop is right, my compressor clutch has seized suddenly. Here’s hoping it’s only one thing.
