Stop & get the yellow bottle, its MAP gas burns hotter than propane, uses the same torch head as propane.

U-bolts should never be reused, when torqued they stretch which is why. (they don't stretch a second time)

Doing front shocks you should have to touch the swaybar.

Rear shocks check the end of the shaft for an allen head hole, I know bilstein has that.

yeah I solved that problem by deleting my account in 2010 lol

I wouldn't classify a forum as social media although I suppose you could make the argument they share some elements. I think there's much more substance here though.

just stretch them a little more :welder:

lots of people do reuse them though. especially if you are putting on sumo-springs or something similar.

Either you or me are making things more difficult for ourselves.
Is that a 2nd gen thing?

I took linkages off to get the shocks out to put the spacers in. The swaybar was already off, when I installed my shocks.
The linkages had the allen bolt.
My stock rear Bilsteins had a flat post sticking out of the top. It bends/twists/breaks easy.

This is definitely better. Especially if you're trying to find information.

I have friends who are in Facebook groups and seem to think forums are lame. I have no idea how you'd find as much information on a FB group as you can on a well put together forum like this one. FB is only good for socializing, and planning events.

I'm s'posed to leave for Alaska Wed. morning. My buddy from Conn. is driving to my house. He made a pit stop in Michigan and every light on the dash came on. It's a Jeep Renegade that recently had the scheduled 100,000k check-up and maintenance done. He says it runs fine. He is going to try to get to my mechanics shop in Madison if he can. If he breaks down, I'll have to go fetch him. He is spending the night about 4 hrs. from my place. Helluva way to kick things off. The forecast doesn't look very promising for the road trip, either.

It's all part of the adventure.

This could be why so many JEEP owners haul their rigs on trailers to the destination? :notsure::D

Looking at falken wildpeak at4w for a 16 rim.. it looks like if i want to go larger diameter it has one option to keep similar.

LT255/85/16 in a c load range.. Im on an e and never had issues. Hoping these would fit with a 2"/1.5" leveling blocks on stock or wheels until i can do suspension..
Looking at offsetting to get the tires more in line with the fenders..

Talk me out of it.. jk
